Climate shelters are spaces—whether natural or designed—capable of offering protection and adaptation to the impacts of climate change, mitigating extreme temperatures, preserving resources, and sustaining human and non-human life forms.

As part of this research project, the Water Festival seeks to envision the Karst region as a diffuse infrastructure: a system of cavities, caves, aquifers, and stable microclimates that can function as a network of climate shelters.

Starting from this invisible geology, the project explores new ways of living and coexisting in a context of growing environmental instability, while simultaneously examining possible social and speculative developments, along with the ethical and ecological implications that arise from them.
